A client needed a batch of power cable from China for a government partnership project in Edmonton.
SMK’s work
Sourced the cable in China and shipped it in two 20-ft containers, chosen because of the cable’s weight. Unloaded and staged the reels at SMK’s Calgary warehouse, then delivered them to the project in Edmonton.

    Once you approve, samples, production, inspection and documents are coordinated.

    Freight, customs coordination, warehousing and final delivery complete the project.

I already have a supplier in China. Can you work with them?

Yes. You can choose only the services you need. For example, SMK can follow up on production, arrange an inspection before shipment, and coordinate freight, warehousing and delivery for goods from a supplier you already use.

What do you need from me to quote a custom product?

Whatever you have: a drawing, a sample, photos or a written description. The most useful details are dimensions, materials, finish, any load or performance requirements, branding and packaging needs, quantity, target price and when you need the goods.

Can I use SMK only for freight, warehousing or delivery?

Yes. Each service can be used on its own. Tell us where the goods are, what they are (cartons, pallets or oversized cargo) and where they need to go.

Do you handle customs clearance?

SMK coordinates the customs process as part of your shipment: the commercial documents, the information needed for clearance and the communication between the parties involved. SMK is not a licensed customs broker.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

Minimums are set by each factory and depend on the product. We review MOQ and lead time with suppliers during sourcing so you can compare options before committing.

How is your work priced?

Pricing depends on the product, specifications, quantity, route and market conditions, so each project is quoted after we understand what you need. Contact us with your requirements and we will explain the costs for your project.

How quickly will I hear back?
